Compact Power Pack for High Pressure Valve Testing

This compact unit was designed to fill the customer's need for a mobile valve testing system. The power pack can be mounted on the back of a truck to be transported to job sites or bolted down for shop installation.

- Designed for performing 10,000 psig pressure tests using water at 95 psig
- Currently in use for well-head testing in Marcellus Shale area.
- All components are pre-plumbed onto a stainless steel plate with a handle and a valve and gauge panel.
- Major component is Maximator L100-VE-S air driven high pressure pump, 1:113 pressure ratio
Dual Use Pump Skid for Turbo Assembly and Disassembly
This Maxpro system utilizes two liquid pumps and is actually two separate pumping systems in one frame. One low pressure system has a 10,000 psi rating, while the high pressure system has a 60,000 psi rating.
The two systems can be operated independently from each other and are used simultaneously for the installation of tapered hubs on tapered shafts. The low pressure system has a single dedicated reservoir to supply fluid to the liquid pump. The high pressure system utilizes two reservoirs so the operator can choose between fluids of different viscosities. A three-way valve is used to select the proper reservoir for the high pressure operation.
The skid size is approximately 30" x 40" x 50" tall, using Maximator pumps L400-2-VE-S and L100-VE-S. The mediums used for this application are glycerin, hydraulic fluid and "heavy oil."
Gas Booster Systems Maintain High Purity Levels
Cutting edge research facilities are exploring ways to collect gases from sources near atmospheric pressure without contamination.
The system shown here was built to collect argon gas and compress it to 4,300 psig. Additional applications may require 99.999% purity while compressing neon gas. To accomplish this Maxpro utilizes boosters with a "flushed seal system".
The pictured system contained the gauges, valves and controls necessary for manual and automatic operation over a sample collection rate from 5 to 30 standard cubic feet per hour.
The key components of this system are Maximator boosters that include a second connection into the high pressure leak off sections to allow the area to be flushed with a gas source, thus keeping any atmospheric air out.
These special flush ports can be added to any of the Maximator gas boosters allowing this technology to be used across the entire flow and pressure range of the product line.
This application would be of interest to research groups that work with special gases, such as university or other scientific labs.
Gas Bottle Mounted Charging System
Maxpro Technologies introduces a new gas bottle mounted charging system suitable for industrial gas charging applications (nitrogen, inert gases or oxygen).
This compact, lightweight and easily transportable system hooks on to a gas bottle (not included) to boost gas to a maximum of 4,350 psig. One source drives and feeds the booster system. The booster will accept inlet pressures up to 3,000 psi. Included with the system is an adjustable 1,450-4,350 psig automatic shut-off, CGA connection and hose.
The unit is engineered to provide compact and portable high pressure gas solutions to a wide variety of end users. Industries such as the oil and gas market or general industry can use this system for charging accumulators. The heavy equipment maintenance sector will utilize this system for tire and shock filling.
Hose Testing 4,500 to 60,000 PSI
This hydrostatic test system is designed for testing hoses from 4,500 up to 60,000 PSI.
The unit is equipped with two Maximator air driven liquid pumps, one for operation from 4,500 to 30,000 PSI and the second from 30,000 to 60,000 PSI. The system is operated from a touch screen panel controlling a PLC. A typical test would be to pre-fill, pressurize to a preset pressure, hold for the desired time, print the test report and vent. Safety devices are included to prevent operation in any unsafe condition. The system can also be operated manually.
The lighted stainless steel test chamber measures 60" wide x 48" high x 46" deep and is equipped with a counterbalanced lifting door for easy access to the test chamber. The door has a Lexan window for viewing hose being tested. The overall dimensions of the test bench are 90" wide x 104" high x 48" deep.

The pressure ratio on the pack pictured below, Maxpro Technologies PPO4 pump, is 1:4, with a maximum outlet pressure of 580 psi. A wide variety of pressure ranges are available to meet the customer's requirements including remote control operation by a small solenoid valve. Applications for these small power packs are many as they are used in the production of plastic parts for the automotive sector, for communication and entertainment electronics, for medical technology, domestic appliances and in the packaging industry.

Plastics Molding Benefits From Liquid CO2 Booster
Industrial gas suppliers use self-contained systems like this to boost liquid CO2 from a bulk dispensing unit. Maxpro Technologies custom packaged this locking cabinet style system for installation outdoors at a plastics manufacturing plant. It utilizes a Maximator DLE15 Booster to achieve a continuous flow application to boost liquid CO2 from 180 PSIg to 1200 PSIg for the required process.
The product pressure range is from 100-3,000 psi, boosting Super-Critical CO2 with a flow range of 40-80 KG/HR.
Approximate physical size of the unit is 36" W x 18" D x 55" H. Installing the unit in the locking cabinet outside of the plant has the benefit of locating the unit near the storage system while allowing for more flexibility in laying out the customer's process. The locking door provides easy and secure access to the booster when service is needed.

Portable Cart - Hydrostatic Tests Capillary Tubing
This Test Cart tests to 25,000 psi (available up to 80,000 psi), and the precision regulator allows precise setting of the pump stall point. Maxpro's Pressure Logger reads and records pressure and pressure decay via digital display and USB stick to transfer reports to a computer.
While this unit uses water as the medium for hydrostatic testing, oil testing is also available. Maxpro offers a wide variety of pressure ranges, with some of the larger units testing high pressure hose, valves, tubing and components.
The system consists of a portable cart with wheels, an air operated liquid pump, a precision regulator and a single channel pressure logger mounted right to the front of the cart. This allows the operator to set the pump stall point accurately as well as visually track the pressure indication system for test results.

Pump Skid Tests Oil and Gas Well Head Components
Oil and gas drilling operations require quick, reliable and accurate pressure tests of wellhead and other components. Maxpro Technologies Pump Skids are custom designed to perform these required pressure tests. The unit pictured is designed with both low and high pressure pumps to quickly fill and pressure test components to 25,000 psi. Maxpro Technologies can provide other custom designed pumping systems with output pressures ranging from 500 psi to 80,000 psi.
Pump skids are compact systems with most components mounted within the boundaries of the frame. The systems can be built for water or oil service and have a control panel to contain all gauges and valves. A variety of pressure ranges and flows are available, for testing components, ranging from 500 psi to 80,000 psi. These systems can be supplied with a reservoir or a city water, valved inlet. Reservoirs come with a fill/breather cap, liquid level sight gauge and drain connection.
Torque Tensioning Tool Pump Assembly
Maxpro Technologies pump assembly will pressurize water to operate a hydraulic torque wrench. The torque wrench being used is a double-acting style that requires two hydraulic hoses connected to the pump skid assembly. It is controlled via a 4-way directional control valve.
The Pump Skid is designed to pressure water to a pre-determined pressure pneumatically. The liquid pump hand lever option is provided for manually creeping up on the exact pressure rating required to produce the corresponding torque required.
Main components of this system are a Maximator air driven liquid pump with a hand lever option, a 4-way crossover control valve, an analog 8.5" diameter high accuracy pressure gauge, minimum fluid loss quick disconnect couplings, a 3 gallon stainless steel reservoir, and a control panel and frame constructed of 304 stainless steel material with 4 lockable casters.

Waterjet Cutting Industry
It may be a surprise to consumers and businesses alike that we are surrounded by items that were cut accurately and inexpensively by water.
Waterjet cutting originated with thin streams of water delivered through a nozzle at high pressure, cutting soft items, such as paper.
As the industry developed, higher pressure water pumps were available, and abrasives were introduced into the water stream in order to cut hard materials. These advances have developed new avenues for cutting materials such as:
- • granite countertops and backsplashes cut by waterjet
- • water jet cut laminated glass and bullet proof glass
- • cutting metal, including stainless steel waterjet cutting (With further development there is now minimal heat produced by the process, allowing metal to be cut without harm or changes in dimensions of the cut items.)
Softer products are still largely cut by water jets.
- • The automotive industry uses water jet cutting for:
- o Cutting gaskets, interior door components, instrument panels
- o Fiberglass body components
- o Interior trim (water jets cut headliners, carpet and trunk liners).

- • Food industries use water jet cutting for:
- o Cutting meat and fish, for example frozen fish sticks, chicken nuggets, or strips (an additional benefit to the speed is that there is no cross contamination from blades).
- o Slicing vegetables, such as celery and mushrooms
- • Fiberglass is cut easily with waterjets and provides accurately cuts on items such as:
- o 4’ x 8’ sheets of panel insulation
- o Home “pink” insulation
- o Boat bodies, where it can also accurately trim out the holes required for mounting and assembly.
The applications for waterjet cutting are almost too numerous to mention. Computer operated machines set up the process and are monitored, doing all of the cutting work swiftly and accurately. Because of the precise accuracy and narrow width of cut (kerf), pieces can be cut very close to each other, which reduces the amount of material that is wasted.
